Swiss Textile Collection

Haute couture collection

The SWISS TEXTILE COLLECTION is an association with around 300 members who share a fascination for textiles and their processing.  It was founded in 2007 as a non-profit organization based in Zurich.  The heart of the association is the extensive and exclusive collection of gowns, ensembles and costumes made from the finest textiles that Switzerland has been producing and supplying to the great fashion houses in Paris since the 18th century.  Young people and experts should be allowed to touch and examine selected pieces but also to work with them. The SWISS TEXTILE COLLECTION with its 1800 collection items organizes its own exhibitions, but also cooperates with external exhibitors (museums, institutes and companies).  An interesting course program as well as eventful trips, excursions and visits around the textile industry complete the field of activity.
